Download BrochureOn arrival at Jammu railway station / Airport pick up and get transferred to Katra situated in the foothills of the Trikuta Mountains, where the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi is located. On arrival check-in at hotel. Overnight at hotel in Katra
After buffet breakfast start trek to the holy shrine. Vaishno Devi Ji resides in a Holy Cave located in the Trikuta hills. The shrine is a distance of approximately 14 kilometers (8.4 miles) from Katra. This trek requires a steep uphill climb upto Sanjichhat (around 3 Kms from Adkuwari) and then a downward climb for another 3 Kms till Bhawan. Vaishno Devi is an appearance of the Hindu Mother Goddess of MahaKali, MahaSaraswati and MahaLakshmi which is indicated to be nearly a million years old. After darshan, trek back to your hotel at Katra. Overnight at hotel in Katra.
Proceed to Dharamshala by road. Dharamshala also known a little Lahsa, is magnificently set to the background of the Dhauladhar Mountain range. The town has been the seat of his Holiness, the Dalai Lama, the leader of the Tibetans, since 1960. In the Evening stroll around Mcleodganj which is a charming Tibetan settlement. A giant prayer wheel ornaments the main street and in the monastery, a serene statue of the Lord Buddha presides over the gentle chanting of the monks. Also visit the Bhagsunag temple. After breakfast drive to Kangra enroute visiting Chamunda Devi temple which is the distinguished holy shrine of Goddess “Chamunda” who is the slayer of the demons Chanda and Mund. The Goddess is said to be the furious form of Durga who was granted the immense powers to kill the demons. The temple is positioned on the banks of Ban Ganga. After Darshan at Chamunda the journey continues to Brajeshwari Devi Temple. The temple also called as Kangra Devi is in the heart of the city amidst huge market hence easily approachable. This temple is believed to be more than 1000 years old. Sati’s charred breasts fell down at this part of Nagarkot village, making it a Sakthi Peeth. Late afternoon return back to Dharamshala. After breakfast continue your holy tour to Jwala Ji. According to mythology the half burnt tongue of Sati fell at this place, when Lord Vishnu cut through the corpse of Sati. No idol is placed in the temple and the flame is only worshipped which lights up naturally through rock as the manifestation of Goddess Jwalamukhi.
After Darshan continue to Chintpurni. Also known as Chinnamastika temple, it is here that the head of Sati fell here. Chinnamastika as the name suggests is the goddess without head. The temple is built in pyramid style of architecture where the image of Mata Chintpurni is placed in the form a pindi. In the Evening time you can join the Sandhya Aarti at the temple. Overnight stay at hotel in Chintpurni.
Morning after breakfast proceed to Chandigarh enroute visiting Naina Devi. The Temple is located on a hilltop. The temple can be reached via road that curves round the hill up to a certain point and then by concrete steps. There is also a cable car facility that moves pilgrims from the base of the hill all the way to the top. After Darshan, continue towards Chandigarh. On arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Morning after Breakfast proceed to visit to Mata Mansa Devi temple. The temple is dedicated to goddess Mansa, a form of Shakti. The temple complex is spread in 100 acres (0.40 km2). Maharaja Gopal Singh of Manimajra constructed the present main temple of Shri Mansa Devi during the period 1811-1815.
Later visit Rock Garden. It has been established in the form of an open-air exhibition hall. The garden houses sculptures made by using a variety of different discarded waste materials like frames, mudguards, forks, handle bars, metal wires, play marbles, porcelain, auto parts, broken bangles etc.
After Rock Garden, proceed to Sukhna Lake which is a beautiful manmade lake that lies in the foothills of Shivalik range. It is a 3 km long lake that was created in the year 1958. It serves as a great picnic spot and an apt place for pursuing water sport activities like boating, yachting and water skiing etc. In time drop at Chandigarh Railway station or Airport for onwards journey.
